Request 1: Recs for holiday movies that aren't impossible to get ahold of. I'm cool with mainstream stuff (I do love the Home Alone series!), but I'm specifically trying to be introduced to things I'm unlikely to have heard of. (My own rec, provided you like black humor, would be The Ref.) I'm cool with movies in other languages, too, so long as I can get my hands on subtitles or transcripts (English/Spanish) somewhere.

Request 2: Long Live the Queen fic, Brin/Julianna. I'm interested in some pre-canon exploration of this relationship and I'm open to anything, including messy breakups.

Request 3: Cardcaptor Sakura fic or art, Sakura/Yue. My tiny pool noodle of a ship, of which I'd be delighted to receive anything. (Some specific prompts exist here.)

Request 4: Gundam Wing fic or art, Wufei/Meilan. I'm interested in whatever you have in mind! Pre-canon scenes on L5? AU where Meilan survived? Dimension travel where a Meilan who piloted Shenlong meets canon Wufei? Ghost Meilan haunting Wufei? Literally anything sounds good to me.

Request 5: Initial D fic, Sayuki/Mako or any configuration of Takumi/Ryousuke/Keisuke. Smut is great, as are any episode tags/missing scenes.

Request 6: Initial D icons. 100x100px, if you please, but I'm cool with any medium (the anime, the new movies, the manga, or the live action). I prefer color over plain black/white manga scans, but frankly, there's so few Initial D icons out there that I'd be happy for anything. Fave characters are Takumi, Ryousuke, Keisuke, Natsuki, Sayuki, and Mako. The cars are great too!

Request 7: Katekyou Hitman Reborn fic or art, Varia-centric or Xanxus/Squalo. Smut is great, as is pre-canon or missing scenes. Maybe something festive, like going to a Christmas market? Or having to take care of a target at a midnight mass? As this is the Varia, whatever level of violence/gore/murder is fine with me. I'm more into Viper/Mammon as a part of Xanxus' guardians than Fran.

Request 8: Anything for Barajou no Kiss/Kiss of the Rose Princess. I'm open to any ship, too! (But if you want more direction, there are some prompts from exchange letters here and here.) Fic, art, icons, picspams, playlists - anything that strikes your fancy.

Additional Information: I celebrate Christmas as a secular holiday. I'd prefer if any playlists weren't hosted on spotify or 8tracks; zips are great, youtube is fine, and even just a list of songs and artists will be useful to me. Fic recs for any of my ships are welcome too, especially if they're not on AO3 or FFnet.

I'm not really into "tough love"/"it's for your own good" as a concept (unless we're talking about Mitsuru from BnK; as long as the narrative acknowledges he's being creepy and controlling, I'm fine with it), and I'm not interested in reading about infidelity or domestic abuse. I have a lot of fic preferences stuffed into past exchange letters if you're interested in looking (as well as more fandoms, which I would also be delighted to see things for!), but I'm actually very easy to please. I'm thirsty for content in general.

I have some Christmas movie recs for you!

Rare Exports is a bonkers 2010 Finnish horror movie in which Santa is an ancient monster. If you like black comedy/horror comedy, you might get a kick out of it; it is VERY WEIRD. I'm not convinced it quite sticks the landing, but it is a wild ride.

The Hogfather miniseries you have probably heard of, as it an adaptation of one of Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels, but in case you haven't seen it, I can just say it's delightful. The Hogfather (Discworld's Santa Claus analog) is missing, Death steps in temporarily, Death's granddaughter Susan (pictured in icon) goes to find the missing Hogfather, and a huge ensemble of other colorful characters lend a hand. It stands alone perfectly well, even if you're not familiar with Discworld in general, and it's the one thing I make sure to watch every Christmas.

!!! I haven't heard of either of these, actually! Rare Exports sounds interesting - I'm not generally into straight horror, but add a bit of black comedy and suddenly everything is great! (I also have a passing familiarity with Finland, so I'm really interested in how they decided to set it up.)

I've heard of Discworld, and am even vaguely interested in it, it's just... not very high on my to-read list? But I had no idea that it had a festive-specific volume. And that it had been turned into a miniseries! :D :D :D The plot sounds excellent, I'm looking forward to watching it!

Yay, enjoy! FWIW, I got into Discworld via the miniseries (there's also another one, not holiday-flavored, starring Sean Austin). So maybe it'll work that way for you, too. Hogfather has TONS of very authentic Discworld flavor. I love it. :')
