Request 1:fic for any book in Rosemary Sutcliff's Eagle of the Ninth/Dolpin Ring series (see https://sutcliff-swap.livejournal.com/907.html). I like cross-cultural relationships, traumatised/damaged characters getting happy endings and nature porn!
Request 2:art for Killjoys (TV). Drawings or photomanips or wallpapers or icons... anything would be great. ;-) My favourite characters are Dutch and Zeph, and I'd especially love a focus on the super-stylish kick-ass women in the show, whether they're literally kicking ass, rocking a great disguise or sciencing the shit out of stuff. (But I like all the guys just fine, too, so they can come if you want.)
Request 3:recs for fanvids for any live-action canon set in space. I love found families and team goodness, people being competent and saving the day, and awesome spaceships and space stations.
Request 4:book recs for steampunk fiction. This is a genre I've very occasionally wandered into entirely by accident and enjoyed, so I'd love to read more. I like thinking about the ins and outs of ingenious technologies, so stories where the technology plays an important role in the plot would be great. I don't mind romance, but would prefer it to be the B plot, and I like female (co-)protagonists.
Request 5:recs for long-form journalism. I enjoy reading in-depth investigative pieces about all kinds of topics, so please rec me your favourite long reads. I especially love reading about the tortuous path to groundbreaking scientific discoveries and about people digging into unsolved historical mysteries. I prefer to avoid reading about gruesome/violent true crimes and please don't rec anything involving eye trauma.
Additional Information: Would prefer not to receive pears with any seasonal or date/event-specific content (e.g. Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah, New Year, Valentine's Day etc).
